Game Night, Sunsets, and a Reception

Friday night, Mike and I went to Logan's Steakhouse for dinner and then to Ben's house for game night. I baked chocolate cookies and Kelly cooked lots of other yummy snack foods. We played, Apples to Apples, a couple of times and then visited for the rest of the evening. I found myself at the food table more than once-It just was all so good!

Saturday Mike had a softball tournament so I spent the day shopping and doing homework. This was my view on the way home. Sorry it's so blurry but you get the idea- it was beautiful!

Sunday Mike got up early to go deer hunting. I've known Mike for 9 years and had no clue that he liked to hunt! He met his dad and they spent the day in the woods. Even though they didn't have any luck, Mike said he really enojoyed it!
I headed down to my hometown, Ozark, for Jay and Kammy's reception. They got married in Eureka Springs- just the two of them and their parents in attendance. Today was the reception with all the family and friends.

I wish...

... I had this bathroom. I love the contrast between the dark hardwood floor and the bright white of everything else.

I'm in need of a nice warm bubble bath- wish I had that tub!

Happy Thursday- the weekend is almost here!

Weekend Recap!

Friday night, my friend Ben threw a surprise birthday party for his brother at Sassy's BBQ. Mike and I ate some great food and had a couple of drinks and then called it an early night. We knew we had to get up early Saturday morning to start tailgating and wanted a good nights sleep before the long day.

Ben and I at Sassy's
Mike and I (not a good picture of either or us but the only one taken)
We got early, like 5:30 in the morning early, Saturday and got ready for a morning of tailgating. The Hogs pulled out a 33-16 victory against the gamecocks! WOOT WOOT!

Mimosas!
the 09 baseball team being recognized for making it the College World Series

We tailgated after the game for a little while and waited for the traffic to die down and then made our way to Boar's Nest for dinner. We thought about going to Dickson but we were both tired and sunburned so we came home got in our pj's and watched movies.
We've spent today watching football and playing UNO.
It's been such a great weekend!
P.S. I realize that in my last post I said that it was the last home game but I completely forgot about Troy coming to town next weekend!

Happy Game Day!

It's going to be a beautiful day in Fayetteville. Not only are we going to whoop up on the Gamecocks but it's supposed to be sunny and 78 degrees. Can't beat that in November! This is the last home game of the season. Well technically it's not since they play in Little Rock next weekend, but I'm talking about on the Hill! We're getting ready to head out and start tailgating before the 11:21am kickoff!

GO HOGS GO! VS.

Where Have I Been?!

Work, Work, Work! I received a job offer Oct. 16th, started Oct. 19th, and have worked 136 hours in 14 days. I'm one tired girl! I haven't worked since the end of May so it's been a little tough getting back into the working world. I'm starting to get into some what of a schedule now though!

I've spent my free time (what little I've had) hanging out Mike, celebrating Abbe's birthday, cheering on the HOGS, and trying to get caught up on the DVR and laundry!

These pictures are from Abbe's birthday night. We went to La Huerta for dinner and drinks and then to Dickson for more drinks. We had such a great time!

So that's where I've been! :)

I sure hope the HOGS stay on a winning streak but I'm afraid that it may not happen against Tim Tebow and the Gators!

We'll be out celebrating not matter what though! It's Abbe's birthday party and I got a job!

Come on HOGS- prove me wrong! WPS!

Winter Flowerbeds

I spent the day getting my flowerbeds ready for the winter. With all the rain that we've had in NWA most of my flowers still looked good but I knew that they wouldn't last long with the colder temperatures that are here now. I pulled out the periwinkles, coleus, and mondo grass and replaced them with pansies, snapdragons, dianthus, and some ornamental cabbage. I also got everything mulched.

The "after" pictures look bare but I know that in a couple of months it will be full of color. It's so nice to have color in the winter when everything else is brown and dead looking!

Thanks mom for all the plants!!

Fun Weekend!

I had spent most of the week at my mom's house so I was really looking forward to spending the weekend with Mike. Friday night, we decided to have a "date night" with dinner and a movie. We ate at Olive Garden and then watched Couples Retreat at the theater. Dinner was so good (I love their soup, salad and bread sticks) but the movie was kind of boring. There were a few really fun parts but other then that it was sssssoooo slow!

Saturday was game day! We started tailgating at 7:30am with breakfast burritos and Mimosas.

After the BIG win (HOGS won 44-23!) we met Ben, Kelly, and Ann at Sassy's for some BBQ and tequila shots!

I was exhausted after the big day and crashed at 11pm Saturday night. I'm sure the shots had something to do with that too! :)

It seems that football and naps have become a Sunday tradition with us and today was no exception!

What a great weekend!

It's a chilly 37 degrees! Brrrr!
We're on our way out to tailgate for a couple of hours before the game starts at 11am! The boys are making breakfast burritos and hash browns for breakfast. Yum-my!
I will be making a stop at Starbucks for a vanilla latte to warm me up!
